About / JT Seger

Built by an athlete who craves humbling competition.

JT Seger is a former Creighton soccer player, a mediocre functional fitness doer, and the kind of athlete who still enjoys chasing progress even when the scoreboard keeps him honest.

He trains regularly at CrossFit Kinesis in Omaha, Nebraska. Showing up, pushing the pace, and staying accountable are part of the week. rxJournal came out of that habit too. Write down the work so tomorrow's session has something to stand on.

Athlete Roots

Former Creighton soccer player

Competitive sport taught JT to love preparation, honest feedback, and the reps nobody else sees.

Current Chapter

Passionate, not precious

Functional fitness is the current obsession, and being "mediocre but committed" is part of the fun. The point is to keep showing up.

Why It Matters

Husband, father, builder

He's a proud husband and dad to two daughters. Training is how he keeps enough energy left for that part of life too.

Why / Build rxJournal

Training gets better when you can find last week's notes.

Most athletes do not need another feed. They need a fast way to capture what happened, what they felt, and what comes next. rxJournal should feel like a sharper notebook, not a dashboard that asks for admin work after every session.

Guiding Principles

  • Keep the journal fast enough to use after a hard session.
  • Build for real coaches, training partners, and everyday athletes.
  • Use AI to reduce friction, not replace effort.
  • Make consistency easier to see and easier to sustain.
