About JT Seger

Built by an athlete who craves humbling competition.

JT Seger is a former Creighton soccer player, a mediocre functional fitness doer, and the kind of athlete who still enjoys chasing progress even when the scoreboard keeps him honest.

He trains regularly at CrossFit Kinesis in Omaha, Nebraska. Showing up, pushing the pace, and staying accountable are just another part of the daily rhythm. rxJournal was born out of that same mindset: make it easier to remember the work, see the pattern, and keep moving with purpose.

Athlete roots

Former Creighton soccer player

Competitive sport taught JT to love preparation, honest feedback, and the reps nobody else sees.

Current chapter

Passionate, not precious

Functional fitness is the current obsession, and being “mediocre but committed” is part of the fun. The point is to keep showing up.

Why it matters

Husband. Father. Builder.

Training is not the whole story. It is part of how JT shows up as a proud husband and dad to two daughters, with more steadiness, more energy, and more joy.

Why build rxJournal

Training gets better when the signal sticks.

Most athletes do not need more noise. They need a cleaner way to capture what happened, what they felt, and what should happen next. rxJournal is meant to feel like a sharp, modern extension of the notebook habit, not another dashboard begging for admin work.

Guiding principles

  • Keep the journal fast enough to use after a hard session.
  • Build for real coaches, training partners, and everyday athletes.
  • Use AI to reduce friction, not replace effort.
  • Make consistency easier to see and easier to sustain.
